My Design Story

I believe that good design is more than just aesthetics—it’s about translation and problem solving. My job is to take complex, often overwhelming information and turn it into a design that is needed. Whether that’s an intuitive, user-centered digital system that people actually enjoy using OR all the design collateral for an event such as ads, invitations, t-shirts, and step and repeats.

With a background spanning corporate marketing, military intelligence training platforms, and professional photography, I bring a multidimensional perspective to every project. Whether I’m wireframing a secure intranet interface or spearheading a multi-channel brand campaign, my focus remains the same: clarity, consistency, and impact.

What I Bring to the Table:

  • UI/UX & Product Design: I specialize in bridging the gap between technical requirements and human needs. During my time with the US Army TRADOC G-2 Contract, the team inside joke was that “I made boxes look pretty.” But what I actually did was transform complex military training needs into streamlined wireframe, mockups, and prototypes using Figma and Agile methodologies allowing the development team to see that the end goal was before having to guess.

  • Visual Communications: From high-volume print production to large-format graphics, I ensure brand identities stay cohesive and work to find the best solution to support my clients’ needs. I’ve helped organizations like the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater see measurable growth (like a 25% boost in Summer camp enrollment!) through targeted design strategy.

  • A "Problem-Solving" Mindset: I have a knack for "Problem-Solving"—cleaning up internal workflows and presentation materials to boost team productivity and client engagement. Basically asking my client/stakeholder a lot of questions about their project/product needs and goals, and then presenting them with a solution.

Technical Toolkit:

  • Design: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, XD).

  • Collaboration: Lucidchart, JIRA, Azure DevOps, Agile/Scrum.

  • Extras: Product Photography & Animatronic Restoration (ask me about the Coleman Collection!).

Beyond the Screen

When I’m not pushing pixels, you might find me chasing my toddler, reading, crafting, or exploring the intersection of art and science—I even hold a certification in Shark Biodiversity and Conservation. I’m a firm believer in staying curious, whether that's learning a new software or understanding one of my favorite animals.
