I've Created a Monster Shirt
Original size: 5.5x9.5 inches
I designed this for myself as a shirt to wear for Halloween. I wanted a fun, but simple design that I could cut out of vinyl. As I am a girl-mom, I wanted the monster to be more girly and cute, while honoring the chaos that comes with having a child. Once designed, I used a Cricut to cut the vinyl, then laid out the design and ironed it onto a shirt. The most difficult part was ironing on the eye details as they have 5 layers, and I didn't want to overheat the surrounding vinyl.

What's Next? Sea Turtle Zine
Zine Exchange
I took part in a Zine exchange with some friends. "What's Next?" was the theme of the exchange. I decided I wanted to focus on sea turtles, and was inspired by Eric Carle's style of illustration. I created a small flip book with the life cycle of sea turtles using only shapes cut from artisan paper. The last pages were seperated and the reader would need to choose A or B. A being a grown turtle laying eggs or B death by plastic. In order to keep everything together, I used a simple, and biodegradable paper bag and spray-painted a turtle shell design on it using environmentally friendly paint.
Neon Book Covers
Illustrator Exercise
In order to maintain my skills in Adobe Illustrator, I took part in the Neon Illustration Adobe Illustrator Daily Creative Challenge. The example given was from Stranger Things, but I wanted to try the technique on my own as well. I decided to create classic book titles in "neon" in order give them a modern twist.
